CHE goes to Siargao Island to recruit prospective human ecology students 
The UPLB Team visited Siargao Island on 21-23 April 2024 as part of the Recruitment Program for the Best and the Brightest (RPBB).

CHE joins the UPLB Learning Resource Center and other UPLB college units to recruit aspiring UPLB students in Siargao Island last 21-23 April 2024.

Ms. Mary Joy J. Ancheta, a teaching associate at the Department of Community and Environmental Resource Planning, represented CHE as she discussed the program offerings of the College, student opportunities, support services and notable alumni.

The Recruitment Program for the Best and the Brightest of UPLB LRC aims to promote courses in UPLB, particularly those with relevance to resolving modern-day issues including the pioneer programs such as agriculture, forestry, and veterinary medicine.

A total of eight public schools in Siargao Island participated the recruitment program and attended by more than 200 senior high school students.

Aside from the presentations of various college units, the director of the UP Office of Admissions, Dr. Francisco N. De Los Reyes, also discussed the UP admission process, including the UP College Admission Test (UPCAT). 

Representatives from the UPLB Office of Scholarships and Grants (OSG) and Learning Resource Center also shared available student assistance programs and other support services offered by their units the UPLB Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs.

CHE hopes to produce graduates who will advocate and promote interdisciplinary, holistic, and integrative approaches to understanding human-environment interactions.
