UP Society of Human Settlements Planners
The University of the Philippines Society of Human Settlements Planners (UP HSP Soc) is the official academic student organization of the Department of Community and Environmental Resource Planning (DCERP), College of Human Ecology, in UP Los Baños. Since its establishment in 2007, it continues to promote awareness on the imperatives in human settlements planning through leadership training, academic excellence and unity among its members. The organization adheres to the Five Ekistic Elements of Human Settlements (human, nature, society, shells and networks) for the advancement of human settlements planning as a discipline, and is active in spearheading initiatives that help in promoting sustainability and balance among ekistic elements, which are all important in nation building.
