The study is a qualitative documentation process and action research conducted to explore theater games as a social technology that aids in enhancing the participation and engagement among children during the pandemic. The research utilized the developed modules, thematized journals, and feedbacking results as the primary source of data. The study was able to 1) link social technology and theater games through literature review, 2) design the process and identify the steps of implementing theater games as social technology through modules, 3) demonstrate the implementation of the art-based intervention through a two-day face to face workshop, and 4) examine the effects of theater games as a tool to enhance participation and engagement among the twelve children or participants from Bahay Tuluyan, Laguna during the pandemic. The art-based intervention, theater games, was able to provide an experiential learning as a volatile and adaptive pedagogical tool in assessing the knowledge, attitude, and practices of the participants in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic.
