The study mainly investigated on how marketplaces in Calamba City have been used since the pandemic struck. It was assumed that the protocols imposed during the COVID-19 pandemic may have or have not affected the spatial behavior of the people, usage, and accessibility of marketplaces in the city. A total of ninety respondents answered the survey with individuals working with the LGU and vendors participated in the key informant interview. Google forms and Facebook Messenger were used in line with the restrictions of pandemic during the study. It was found out that while the protocols affected the behavior of consumers and vendors, the use of marketplaces remain the same. It was more of modified rather than change as the core trade function remains. There were individuals that attempted to change their shopping methods through shifting to supermarkets and use of more courier services, but majority remains will always return in the culture marketplaces in the city. It is recommended to get a bigger sample size so that it would allow for better generalizability of the research and explore beyond the policies affecting the use of marketplaces.
